Geology students tour Hill Country fossil site
Geology students led by Mike Jones visited Shoal Creek in Austin for a field trip to study fossils. They viewed a fossilized Plesiosaur discovery believed to be about 90 million years old and examined dinosaur tracks along the San Gabriel River to learn about ancient life and its age.
