Day care center to become reality at Lee College
Lee College Board approved a 115000 grant to develop the Barney Gray Early Childhood Education Center, an off campus facility to be renovated in the Bay Area Rehabilitation Center building. Friends of Lee College will cover most initial costs while the college underwrites about 90000 annually. The center aims for national accreditation with occupancy expected around August 1991 and offers projected 60 per week infant care tuition.

Lee College district to raise property taxes by 10 percent
The Lee College district plans an approximate 10 percent property tax hike over the prior year’s rate. The Board of Regents approved adding 1.5 cents to the current 15.827 per $100 valuation.
