Accreditation review: LC forms self study panels
Ten LC students join a nine-standards self study to satisfy the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools review starting 1983 84. The effort aims to ensure quality and interschool credit acceptance with a March 1985 culmination and campus site visit by SACS educators.

LC Jazz Ensemble Plans Fall Concert in Moser Hall
The LC Jazz Ensemble schedules a 7:30 p.m. December 1 fall concert in Moser Hall. Despite member attrition from transfers and graduations, the group stays active and performed at the Junk and Jazz Festival at Bicentennial Park in October and opened the Baytown Marching Festival at Stallworth Stadium. The 1983-84 officers are Billy Adams president Lori Jason treasurer Milton Crow secretary, with Dave Corder as ensemble director.

Early spring registration at LC set for Dec 5 6 7
Early registration for the spring semester at LC runs 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on December 5 6 and 7 by timed permit only. Process sheets are available in the admissions office before these dates. The first two days serve current fall students while December 7 is for new or returning students.
Faculty advised Watts speaks at legal workshop
Attorney Larry Watts spoke to LC faculty members on grievances and due process. He covered rights in personnel meetings, recording and witness options, and First Amendment grounds for speaking to the governing board. Watts noted part time staff also have due process protections and urged applying legal rights to protect faculty and other workers.
