Citizens Bank of Baytown presents a 319 W Texas Ave property valued at over 942000 to Lee College during its October Board meeting. The land and two story building with a basement will be vacated in 1984 as the bank moves to Garth Road, with ownership to take effect December 31. Lee College plans early use due to proximity and space needs while continuing to rent 18000 square feet in the Sears building for vocational classrooms.

Lee College prepares 50th anniversary events and alumni week
LC marks its 50th anniversary in the 1983-84 year with two spring weeks. Alumni week will include a homecoming basketball game and a welcoming breakfast, plus speeches by prominent former students. The second week centers on the big anniversary celebration focusing on community and student involvement. Final plans should be set by mid November.
