Robocop II scenes draw crowds on Texas Avenue
A section of Texas Avenue was blocked off for hours on November 6 for Robocop II filming in Baytown and Houston. The Good Samaritan Army building at 311 West Texas Avenue served as the backdrop as Robocop speeds by in a futuristic police cruiser, while actors dressed as street people watch from in front of the shelter.

Lee College to hire three full time guards for campus security
The Lee College security plan moves from a single off campus guard service to three full time LC employees. David Carnahan says the change saves money and improves control while Vanguard patrols extend on a weekly basis until new guards are hired. As of Nov 8, 35 applications were received and seven interviewed with final approval by Vivian Blevins forthcoming.
