Stone's career spans America from Baytown to Broadway
Lee College piano instructor Tom Stone has performed across the United States for four decades. He recalls early starts in fifth grade and a first public show in Louisiana at 15. He toured with Metropolitan Opera star Josephine Antoine and cut a record with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra on RCA Victor. He taught at LC for 32 years, still teaches at 69, and recently agreed to perform Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue with the Baytown Symphony Orchestra at Rundell Hall. He loves sophisticated jazz and romantic, contemporary styles.
