Lee College wins multiple awards at Texas History convention
The Lee College Walter Prescott Webb Historical Society attended the Texas State Historical Association Convention March 4-6. Four LC students earned awards in the Caldwell Memorial Competition lower division for freshmen and sophomores. Donna Bonin won first, Diane Fanning second, Carolyn Falk Rainer third, and Suzanne Blankenship fourth. A fifth place went to a student at San Jacinto North. LC essays were published in Touchstone 1988, and June Begeman Gail Luckner and Susan Estes had prize essays featured. Muriel Tyssen and Britt presented on the Lee College American Studies program.
