Lee College wins 32 awards at state journalism convention
Lee College journalism students earned 32 awards at the Texas Inter collegiate Press Association and Texas Community College Journalism Association convention held April 7-9 at Southwest Texas State University. The Reflections magazine collected nine TCCJA honors and The Lantern six. LC students and staffers won multiple firsts, seconds, and thirds across magazine and newspaper categories, with several named for photography, layout, and feature work. A TIPA business meeting approved a resolution seeking guidance on open meetings and records laws for student governments at publicly funded colleges and universities.
