Lee College Continuing Education reports a near doubling of enrollment from 2116 in fall 1987 to 4108 in fall 1988, driven largely by ESL classes tied to an amnesty program. Industrial classes also grow, aided by Dean Wilks and others, while space limits force cancellations and off campus classes at Lee High School.
