Spring Fling brings crawfish and laughs to Moser Hall
Student Congress hosts Spring Fling from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Moser Hall patio with booths from Phi Theta Kappa and others, a new crawfish offering by Art Department students, a Kiss-A-Pig Contest, and a tricycle race voting by faculty photos. Wheelchair basketball game pits Rollin' Cougars against Lee College Hot Rollers
Lee College ACE will sponsor the third annual wheelchair basketball game Friday at the gym, pitting the Rollin' Cougars, a touring wheelchair team, against Lee College faculty and staff in the Hot Rollers lineup. Coordinator Rosemary Coffman recruits volunteers from each department, with Ron Ummel handling the scoreboard. Admission is 50 cents or two canned goods for a local pantry.

Fourth annual literary fest set for April 14-16
The Lee College Lyceum Committee schedules a three day Literary Arts Festival with performances by Nick de Vries at 9 a.m. April 14 in the McNulty Haddick Building followed by Shihoko Utz conducting a Japanese Tea Ceremony at 2 p.m. in the same building. On April 15 Lionel Garcia a fiction writer will read at 10 a.m. in Tucker See FESTIVAL.

Lee College bans smoking in campus buildings
Dr. Jackson Sasser announces a smoke free Lee College with two designated smoking areas to be used by next fall. EPA findings on secondhand smoke prompted the policy with four offices ventilated at a cost of about three thousand dollars plus one hundred dollars yearly per office.

Baytown Enacts No Smoking Ban In City Buildings
Baytown spells out a no smoking rule for city owned buildings effective January 1 prohibiting smoking in City Hall and other facilities.
