Unknown White Man Killed by Freight Train at Langley

Special to The State reports an unidentified white man about 35 years old killed by a Southern Railway freight train near Langley depot around 12:30 am. Debris injuries described as severe. no name or papers found. Coroner’s jury held railroad not to blame and burial planned by railroad authorities. He had been in town a few hours and wore a black derby, shabby clothes, red hair and mustache.

Beaumont Texas records a record week in the Seall field with 19 spouting wells completed and 44 gushers finished. Pipeline pipe and storage tanks expanded capacity to 35500 to 60000 gallons with many under construction. Four deaths occurred from a gusher accident as daily shipments reach 85 cars.
