Tom Horn the scout and cattle detective was hanged in Cheyenne Wyoming after confessing to killing Willie Nickell. The execution occurred at 11 08 pm with Rev George Rafter and Frank Irwin present. Horn reportedly exclaimed Be game and spoke with County Clerk Cahill before the trap fell. Thousands gathered and militiamen stood watch as officials and guards oversaw the process.
