Calhoun Falls Sold To Highest Bidder
Practically the entire town of Calhoun Falls in Abbeville county was sold at auction yesterday. Judge W F Cox of Anderson bid in the property for $14,000, the land being 700 acres along two rail lines. The former Western Carolina Land and Improvement Company owned the land, spent heavily, and failed to develop the town. Cox plans to form a new company to develop the property, but details will come later.
