Saluda May 15 In the sessions court Tom Hailatock charged with murder was found guilty of manslaughter. He was sentenced by Judge Benet to 20 years imprisonment.
Richmond May 15 news arrives of the shooting of R B Young former member of the Virginia house of delegates in Lee county He was shot by a man named Horton and his wounds are regarded as potentially fatal France to supply artillery and navy with smoke shells designed to blind and befog the enemy
Eighteen to twenty men, described as drunken railroad lands and timber cutters, attacked Four Oaks. A town policeman Sanderlin was beaten unconscious and injured. several whites and many blacks were wounded in the ensuing melee.
