At Mebee Nov 29 J E Middleton of McBes was wounded in Jefferson by Ross Miller. Miller, who had sold a Remington typewriter trade gone awry, fired as Middleton approached jokingly saying he was under arrest. Middleton received a flesh wound in the shoulder. Miller escaped after a back shot.
