Dispensary Fund Sends $97,000 to State Treasury

The dispensary has turned into the state treasury ninety seven thousand dollars for the school fund. Comptroller General Jones is sending instructions to county superintendents of education to obtain data to apportion the amount. Washington reports the adjournment of the extra session of the fifty-eighth Congress ends Monday, risking demotion of Gen. Wood from major general to brigadier general and affecting 167 officers. Pioneer Chinaware Company Granted Commission

The secretary of state granted a commission yesterday to Pioneer Chinaware of Graniteville to make crockery. Capitalized at 30000 with possible expansion to 100000, incorporators C. B. Willis and W. A. Giles of Graniteville. Subscriptions to open soon, shares of 50 each. The venture aims to develop the kaolin supply and is a new South Carolina industry.
