White Leads Quick Daylight Hold Up In Evanston
Four men held up patrons at a west side Evanston saloon last Friday. A man named White allegedly looted about 150 dollars then was captured ten minutes later while fleeing. Officials launched an investigation revealing the plan grew from a gambling table dispute, prompting city and county officers to seize chairs and tally counters and order saloonkeepers to curb gambling.
