An unidentified man named Branches, 31, died in Kemmerer city jail from a self administered poison after arrest for issuing 95 fraudulent checks. He claimed Idaho roots in Malad City and had revolver and poison in his possession when captured. County officials investigate his relatives as telegrams to Malad City await reply.

Bad smash-up damages cars in Kemmerer area
About nine o clock Monday evening a Buick and Studebaker were damaged at the roundhouse corner on Prontier road. Harrity car suffered severe damage near the radiator, damage estimated at 300 dollars. Studebaker only lightly damaged. J. Stinson vacationing in Java Hot Springs.
