County Commissioners Seek State Board Valuation Change
The county commissioners traveled to Cheyenne to confer with the state board of equalization about first class land valuations in Star Valley Cokeville and nearby areas. The board raised values to 30 and 45 per acre, which the commissioners called excessive, and expect wave of higher taxes next year under a full value levy. They doubt equal relief in Lincoln County or other counties, fearing taxes may rise significantly in many sections under the present plan.
