Kemmerer events include dances, benefits, and parties with many attendees. Residents Mra. L. McKay and others travel for family deaths or visits. a piano contest promises votes for subscriptions. merchants announce sales and new store partitions. several residents relocate, visit relatives, or begin new jobs. Halloween dance planned. local officials and visitors frequent the town amid updated roads and services.
Diamondville resident Laban Howard arrived home after a lengthy tour of the Northwest. He considered settling in Washington but decided Wyoming is satisfactory. He visited brother John and family in Everett and relatives in Tacoma and Vancouver B C, was away about a month and found the trip rewarding.
Shipping from Opal stockyards remains busy with many consignments of beef cattle leaving for Omaha. Shippers Vega Miller, the Bronnen Brothers, Hutton cattle company, Alex Price, and Billy Woods from Hig Piney loaded out large consignments. Cattle color appears prime and anticipated to fetch strong prices once on the market.
A visitor to the city from a prominent Green River valley ranch shipped four head of prime wet stock from Opal to the Omaha market last Monday. The stock, described as frost hulking and tall, was expected to top the market at Omaha. Mr Hutton left Tuesday for Brie to spend time there.
Another Holdup PF. J. Ogden was attacked at about one o'clock in the Cumberland yards and robbed of about $130. He notified officers. suspects Thomas Church and Ed Brown were detained by Night Marshal Jack Piz. They pleaded not guilty before Justice St. Lee Craig, were bound over to district court, and set for trial October 21.
Dr. Cunnington and Jack Mantle returned Monday from a week long hunt at Hamafork head in search of deer. They enjoyed the trip though no deer were taken. Mantle returned with an elk while Cunnington brought back a moose. Both men are noted members of the two fraternities.
Mrs Louis Vickrey III formerly Miss Mamie Walters, bride of a week and a half, was operated on last Saturday at Lincoln county hospital for appendicitis. The operation was completely successful and she is improving rapidly. The couple wed on October 4 at Hotel Kemmerer parlors and plan to settle in Big Piney after a brief honeymoon.
Will Locate Here Kemmerer is to have another physician Dr Groom of Star Valley has decided to locate here and secured a location for his office and also leased one of the new homes built recently by Rev E J Magor for his family Dr Groom is highly respected in the Star Valley and will undoubtedly receive a liberal practice in this city.

George Tanner, prominent local figure and first county assessor, wed Miss Myrile Peterson of Ft. Bend Idaho in Salt Lake City after a busy season. The couple, who traveled from Bloomington Idaho and Kemmerer area friends, will reside in Kemmerer after a brief honeymoon.
Joe Pellegrini, long time resident of Kemmerer, moves to Watts California to start a new home on freshly bought ground. He plans winter stays in California but will return summers to manage local interests with his wife and children accompanying him. Pellegrini recalls Kemmerer’s growth and expresses faith in its future prosperity.
The St Patrick Church ladies plan a real turkey supper next Thursday afternoon in the old Hill building, with serving from 5 to 5 30 p m. A bazaar accompanies the event offering fancy work, sewing and assorted items, with a large crowd expected. Go early and renew any past due CAMERA subscriptions to avoid discontinuation.
