Record of Abundant Grain Yields in Cokeville Valley
A visiting farmer reports one of the best years in the Cokeville valley with oats yields averaging 40 to 50 bushels per acre and total crops around 150 000 bushels from small ranches. Notables include Bennion on Covey canal with 50 bushels per acre on 1000 acres, Mat harvesting 11 bushels per acre, and Misehler with 1300 bushels on a Meacre tract. Evidence suggests future prosperity as unclaimed land awaits cultivation and hay and garden vegetables are abundant.
