Mrs. M. Thomas departed last Saturday for Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Perkey rented the Thames home for the winter. Elmer Hancey of Logan, Utah, is visiting his brother Fred Hancey, who works at the sugar factory there.
Dr Bob Hocker receives notice of appointment to the state board of dental examiners by Governor Houx succeeding Dr James Calvert who resigned. He plans to travel to New York City for an advanced course and will be away most of winter. Doctors Bud Hocker and C D Cunnington will cover local practice assisted by Dr Brethan of Superior.
Banner Sunday November 25 with 86 present aims to recruit 15 more to hit 101 by the first Sunday in December. Sunday school meets at 10 each week with J E Akey as superintendent. The Isabel Burne residence burned Friday around 3 pm with a brief blaze. The volunteer fire department arrived within five minutes and a large water stream quickly doused the fire. Upstairs and roof suffered fire and water damage.
