Smith Estate Contest to Be Heard in December
The Smith estate dispute remains unsettled as Judge Arnold orders a preliminary step to decide whether the widow receives $2500 or one half of the estate. Testimony on estate value will be taken by Judge Tidball with a December hearing, delayed by bad roads. Executors present a 1918 trust agreement allowing income from $15,000 Smith Stock to a trustee. Guardianship for the widow is to be determined amid rival guardianship bids by Norris W. Griggs and Eva Jenkins.
