The town of Kemmerer approves an ordinance regulating automobile speeds. Motorists may not exceed 1 mile per hour on streets and public ways including the Frontier road. The triangle street area limits speed to 10 mph, and turning corners to 6 mph to prevent accidents and injuries.
The Big Fight Award notes that Oxmando and Cordove cigar makers, with Bill Moreland as member, will run The Osmando Special a modern electric lighted train with dining and ventilated cars for a Denver to Las Vegas Johnson Flynn championship fight. Round trip with berth priced at 95 dollars. reservations due before June.
Intermountain Good Roads plans a convention in Logan Utah from June Vth to Mth. Round trip from Kemmerer costs 10.80 dollars with tickets posted June 10th 11th and 12th, valid for return until June 17th. Try Pellegrini's ice cream.
In Judge Rosenberg's court on Saturday evening Andrew Stuck and Paul Sekerak were found guilty of criminal assault for beating Frank Eckosky after aiding a beaten countryman. John Covich and John Bamar were found not guilty. Stuck fined 20 dollars and Sekerak five, with costs to be shared.
Interstate Commerce Commission orders new wool shipment rates effective now. Expected annual savings exceed 400000 dollars for Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah growers. Rates simplify from blanket territory to Boston and reduce through rates from Ogden and Salt Lake to 1.79 per hundred.
Paul Paulson of Rock Springs, a Wyoming National Board member, helped organize the Rocky Mountain Association of the United Mine Workers of America.
