Lechl Baker Found Dead In His Room At Harris Bakery
Win Roehl a baker for Joe Pis was found dead in his attic sleeping room above the Pit bakery. He had worked about two months and died after a period of heavy drinking. Officials think heart failure from alcohol use caused the death. He was about 60, known as The Kaiser for his German birth and past jail stay during the war. He left a wife and three children.

Wounded Cokeville Soldier Missing in Transit to California
Oilbert Weaver of Cokeville was wounded in the thigh by shrapnel on the Champagne front in France and transported to Letterman General Hospital San Francisco. He expects a four month stay with likely full recovery and no permanent disability. he was aboard the Transport Northern Pacific which ran aground off Fire Island and was rescued.

Telegram summoned Sheriff Oakley to meet Train No 19 where James Wardell a discharged soldier arrived in a mentally confused state. Wardell who served in Camp Fremont and whose brother Hugh was killed overseas is being cared for by his parents and will go to Salt Lake for specialized treatment.

Burns prove fatal Chinese laund man Tom Lee dies in Kemmerer
Wang Keng Song known as Tom Lee a Kemmerer Chinese laundryman died at Lincoln County Miners Hospital at 8:00 am after burns from his laundry fire nearly two weeks earlier. Kidney complications from the burns caused his death. He leaves a wife and three children in China. Body shipped to San Francisco for interment. a cousin from Ogden assisted with arrangements.

Infant Body Found Buried on River Flats Near Kemmerer
Reports say the infant was buried in sand on the river bank at the flats north of town. Coroner Fitzpatrick stated the body appeared buried only two or three days prior and that footprints surrounded the grave. The infant’s body was later removed and reburied. officials investigate possible foul play amid public outrage.
