Burnt bunk house visit at Kewmerer Coal mine

A fire damaged a bunk house at the Kewmerer Coal company mine. Officials said the blaze occurred at the mine area assisted by workers from sixteen nearby mines. Contents of the bunk house were lost and the incident is under investigation.

Cretaceous Oil Company Suit Dismissed by Judge Arnold

The suit filed by Ridgely and fourteen others against the Cretaceous Oil Co over December events faced dissolution of a preliminary injunction after two days of hearing before Judge Arnold. A second injunction was granted on bond terms of $15,000 to cover damages, with a further bond deadline set for the eighth of the month. The judge did not comment on the contract’s validity.

Child Killed by Ice Fall Near Diamondville

Seven year old Arthur Baker son of Mr and Mrs E T Baker of Diamondville was killed when about 240 pounds of ice fell from a rear ice sled as children hauled ice from a railroad car. The accident occurred behind the butcher shop where the endgate loosened and ice slipped out. Funeral set for 2 pm at the L D S church Diamondville with burial in Diamondville cemetery. Attending Cheyenne hearing were Charles Luckey P Budd and attorney R R Rose representing majority stockholders of the Cretaceous company.
