Odd Fellows Celebrate 100th Anniversary at Lyceum
Last Saturday night the Odd Fellows marked the lodge centennial with a dance and musical program at Lyceum hall. The event featured an orchestra, solos and quartets, addresses by Ivan B. Jones and Wm. C. Delaney, and a lingering finale of Home Sweet Home as dancers enjoyed a refined social evening. The Independent Order of Odd Fellows began in an upper room of a roadside hotel by five workers and has grown to about two and a half million members with substantial assets.

New stock actions totaled 10 000 dollars for machinery while New York capitalists bought 7000 dollars of Grand Canyon stock. Howland bought pow machinery in Beaver including a new saw mill for Snake River project. He, as president of Star Valley Mining, says three parties will visit in early summer to inspect and possibly buy the mine south of town.

The Victory Liberty Loan is issued with notably favorable terms under the U S Treasury. Notes dated May 20 expose payments of 10 percent by May 16, 10 percent by July 15, 20 percent by August 12, 20 percent by September 5, 20 percent by October 7 and 20 percent by November 11 with accrued interest on deferred installments. Sergeant Burt Collett son of Mrs Nellie Anderson Cokeville returned from Ft D A Russell Cheyenne after discharge and earlier landed at Newport News from France. he served in Verdun Champe St Mihiel Meuse Argonne and other battles without injury.
