Jake Herschler and Elmer Rathbun came from the Fontenelle ranches on Saturday from Opal to hire shearers for the runch. Their plan was to shear on the ranch before lamching if possible to get help. Winter weather favored them and the sheep were fed on the ranch with forage raised there serving as all the feed needed.
