Fewer Criminal Cases on Docket for Coming District Court Session
Judge John R. Arnold will oversee routine matters and jury drawing as Kemmerer hosts the district court session beginning May 7 in City Hall. The criminal docket is lighter this year with about 20 cases, down from 33 in 1916, due partly to swift justice and several cases handled summarily. Three murder defendants from Rawlins penitentary are to be retried, with Dan Parker and Matt Cire likely to seek venue changes. Dan Crafton faces renewed trial after a hung jury. Dan Creedon to be tried for assault with felonious intent.
