Proposal for New Road Between Roberts Ranch and Cokeville
James S Roberts of Cokeville visited late this week to complete proof on a large land project. He is keen on a road connecting his ranch to Cokeville, which would cut travel distance by about half. County commissioners may take up the issue at the next meeting after rights of way delays and a last year survey.

Streams Holding Calm Amid Rising Waters Near Oakley
The week’s rising water began eroding the railroad embankment near Oakley, forcing stove hauling for tip-rapping. Streams are now mostly within banks but railroad officials fear effects when the high water season returns later this month and in early May as mountain snowmelt swells streams and raises flood risk.
