Canyon of a Thousand Splendors Vision of Yellowstone Canyon
Neeta Marquia recounts first grand view of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. The journey from the Yellowstone River through Hayden Valley leads to Inspiration Point where canyon walls glow in rose, terra cotta, and green colors. She observes Mud Geyser and Miranda Geyser, notes the 400 foot waterfall, and the velvet atmosphere of the cliffs and river as light shifts.
