Republican Rally in Cheyenne to Set 1914 Campaign Principles

The Republican State Central Committee calls a Cheyenne meeting on April 6 at 10 00 am and a conference at 2 00 pm for Republicans Progressives independents and other electors opposed to Democrats and free trade. The aim is to discuss policies and declare principles for the 1914 campaign. Patrick Sullivan chairs with T Blake Kennedy secretary.

Word from Kemmerer reports Will D. Embree, brother of Skoote Embree and Mrs. Chas Rathbun, to assist Chas 8 Whitman, New York County district attorney, at 7000 dollars yearly. Yale graduate 1902, law school 1907, with Berea College background. western Wyoming ties include Opal and Fontenelle ranch ties. Married Etta Parsons two years ago. they have a daughter eight months old.

Miners Examinations Planned Across Wyoming Mines

Mine Inspector George Mincksr of Cumberland tours Kemmerer to inspect mines at Diamondgily Klisol and Hublet. Union Jackie Coal Co near Cumberland reports no development yet due to deep snow though work is hoped to begin with better weather. Spring examinations for mine Curellen and watchmen are set in Kemmerer on April 90th with about nine examinees expected.

Jury Drawn for Spring Term Court in County

A jury for the spring term was drawn with 30 names from about 800 in the box. Names from last term were mostly excluded. D. J. Brown of Kemmerer was the only one returned. Juror travel allowances and per diem are outlined, with court opening May 4 and first day naturalization trials.

The Up-to-Date Auto Company will install a Fairbanks Morse lighting plant for in-house lighting and will charge storage batteries. They plan to offer auto supplies at rock bottom prices and advertise in this week’s paper to attract public patronage.

Deputy U S Marshal Here on Witness Hunt

Leale B. Snow of Cheyenne deputy United States marshal visited Kemmerer over Sunday and Monday seeking a witness for a Cheyenne trial. He located the man at Granger. Snow has served as a deputy marshal for eight years and is noted for steady duties.
