Snake River project postponed despite local push
County officials in Lincoln County received a letter from District Forester F. D. Kneipp stating the Snake River road project from Alpine to the Hobacke Road is deferred for later consideration due to limited federal funds. The Forester, while supportive of the project objectives, chose to fund another Wyoming road this year, inviting further proposals. Local leaders urge Chamber of Commerce action to influence reconsideration and note related regional visits and farm activity.
