Kadoka Enacts Saloon Closing Ordinance No 8
Kadoka South Dakota townspeople pass Ordinance 8 mandating saloon closings at 11 o clock p m and every Sunday. Violations carry fines from 5 to 25 dollars, plus costs, with possible commitment until payment. Effective upon passage and publication as required by law. Chairman J A Jones and Clerk Frank Coye approved on January 27, 1998.

Kadoka Town Ordinance Establishes 7 Percent Interest on Outstanding Orders
Ordinance No. 9 provides that town orders drawn on the Kadoka treasurer shall accrue seven percent interest per year if unpaid due to insufficient funds until payment. The measure, approved January 27, names J A Jones, Frank Coye as chairman and clerk as officiating officials.
Kadoka Enacts Occupation Tax on Expressmen and Draymen
Ordinance No 10 declares expressmen and draymen unlawful to operate within Kadoka South Dakota without paying an occupation tax of ten dollars per year. Exemptions apply to U S mail passengers hotel transport and local goods movers. Violators face fines from two to ten dollars plus costs and jail until paid. The ordinance takes effect July 1908.

The township 2S range 20E is to be known as Little Buffalo with Francis Zeal Alien F. Spaur and H. H. Boock appointed as supervisors. The Herd Law petition is granted and will be voted on at the November election. Circus wagons for the August 7 show include several over seventy feet long necessitating shorter cars for mountain siding haul.
