Three Killed Many Injured in Joliet Crossing Crash
A freight locomotive on the Joliet & Southern line collided with an electric car near the Big Slough crossing, killing three and injuring many. Rescue crews pulled victims from wreckage as authorities investigated semaphore and derail signals and questioned witnesses and officials.
