The county committee plans widespread activity with capable speakers promoting issues. Central leadership has finalized the campaign plan and will hold meetings across the county to push the program.
Governor Hughes of New York to tour the state with a one day Ulon invasion. Republican leaders schedule meetings from Oct 2 to Oct 9 with speakers George W. Young R J Barr and Wm Murphy among others. Chairman Stevenson outlines plans and lists officers and committee members.
The Ridgewood Baptist church congregation met last night to consider the resignation of Rev. W. C. Andereck but postponed action until next Wednesday night with William H. Ashman presiding as chair.
Physicians traced the mental illness of Mrs Ameélig Manten to nonabusive causes and recommended commitment to the state asylum at Kankakee. Drs. Dougall and Higains supported the finding, aided by Munch’s case study as Judge Marshall oversaw the arraignment.
James McPartlin was awarded 147 dollars damages by Justice Nichols after two cows were killed and pasture land burned by sparks from railroad engines. McPartlin resides about one mile west of the city limits.

Detroit October 1 A lively row broke out at the Wayne Casino during the biennial Wayne Catholic Order of Foresters convention. Supporters of high chief ranger Mrs Elizabeth Rodgers of Chicago clashed with opponents accusing her of gay methods seeking a regime change. An onlooker witnessed a dramatic pantomime from the Wayne hotel parlor. A delegate said information was sought about alleged payment of 2000 life insurance for Bridgetill of Chicago, whose dress was five months in arrears at death. arrears allegedly paid two days after death.
Lockport merchants lost to the mechanics in ten innings at Dell Wood with proceeds aiding the Methodist church coffers.
The Lockport Mechanics defeated the Merchants 16 to 13 at Dellwood Park in a tense tenth inning finish. Proceeds supported the Methodist church with women from the congregation backing the baseball venture. Umpire Dr. B A Kingston officiated as crowds braved the chilly afternoon wind. officials hinted at another matchup.
The Union League Club organized a golf tourney for the Savage Cup with an October prize. Club golfers will compete in a handicapped event organized by John H. Savage, club president. Six women federal prisoners in the Wil. county jail, held as witnesses against white slave traffickers, will receive $1 per day for the term of their incarceration. They were brought from Europe for immoral purposes. if charges are proven they will be deported. Most have been imprisoned for more than six months, so sizable sums are due at term end.
A letter to the ministers states Claude E. Boyer pastor of Plano Baptist Church, formerly of Pastorm Avenue Baptist, will be ordained Tuesday October 6. Each Baptist church in the Association is asked to send a pastor and a delegate for the ordination service Tuesday afternoon.
