Butler Geis Masonic Medal at Aurora
Sir Knight John Butler of Joliet Commandery No 4 Knights Templar attended the Aurora Masonic picnic, with representatives from across the state. The Aurora brethren awarded a gold headed cane as a prize for the old recipient, and Butler, made Mason in Lockport NY in 1846, brought back the engraved ebony cane bearing the June 18 1902 inscription.

John Driscoll Dies Yesterday in Chicago
John Driscoll, once a resident here, died at his home 792 Thirty fifth street Chicago yesterday morning. He is a brother of Timothy Driscoll and a cousin of Daniel Driscoll, with Captain Martin Murphy a brother-in-law. He lived here about ten to twelve years before moving to Chicago where he worked for Chicago and Alton Railway and ran the pumping station near the passenger depot. Funeral arrangements not announced to local relatives.
