Decision in Miller estate fish case expected this month
The Supreme Court is expected to hand down a decision in the estate of the late Mrs Cornelia A Miller. Release Sought for William Church in Attack Case
Relatives of William Church of 2009 Cass street seek his release from county jail after he was charged with attempting to assault Mrs. Charles Tuck of 528 Meeker avenue. Habeas corpus proceedings were begun in Circuit Court but hearing remained incomplete. Church remained in jail after State's Attorney Helen asked for continued custody. Mrs. Tuck testified she kept Church under guard with a revolver until detectives from Captain Murphy and Lieutenant Connors arrived.
