The fusion state convention is planned for August 22 in Omaha Nebraska. The Nebraskan Republicans schedule their next state convention for September 21 in Omaha.
Aguinaldo is said to have been assassinated but no credence is given. The 1st Nebraska regiment returns from the Philippines and will receive a grand welcome in Omaha. Nebraska's highest point is in Sioux county, about 1,200 feet above sea level. Matthew Larking, England’s oldest bell ringer aged 97, retires to Grimsby after 82 years at Tetney church.
Acting Commander in Chief Johnson orders the National G A pension committee to meet in Washington on Tuesday July 11. The committee includes Gen. R. B. Brown H. B. Case John Palmer J. W. Burst and Charles Clark Adams to present facts to the President. Also discusses newspaper typographic errors and the care needed in printing.
