Nebraska Troops Face Homeward Start for May Return
The 1st Nebraska Regiment is among the first to begin mustering out of volunteers in the Philippines and return home around May 5. Col. John M. Stotsenburg of the First Nebraska was killed in battle in the Philippines. A cyclone near Kirksville, Missouri at 6:20 last evening left forty dead and vast property damage.
