Tax Board reports higher valuations for transport firms
The State Board of Tax Commissioners released its annual report on valuations for railways telephone and telegraph and express firms. Overall valuations rise sharply from last year with transportation companies bearing most increases. Indianapolis Street Railway up over 20000 dollars per mile and Greenfield Interurban and Greenwood lines show main track rises with rolling stock changes. Union Traction up 5000 per mile on main track and 40 on rolling stock while Broad Ripple Traction reduces 2 50 per mile.
