East Central Trojans Clinch Fourth With Scottsburg Win
East Central rode a fast start to beat Scottsburg 57 to 14 in Scottsburg Indiana for their first cluster game of the season. Daryl Huber and Kyle Frondorf connected on multiple TD plays while Frondorf added another rushing score as EC rolled to a 28 0 halftime lead and extended it to 57 8 before the clock ran out. EC improved to 4 0 as several players were hospitalized after heat related issues. The Trojans next face Batesville in EIAC action.

The Runnin Wildcats edged South Dearborn Connersville and Jac Cen Del to win the East Central Invitational. Coach Jim Slusser praised a strong team effort led by Ed Thrasher Daryl Rider and Dave Eckel. The trio of sophomores Gabboard Grubbs Barnes and senior Tim Mathers form “The Pack” perfecting the Cats attack. They rank tenth in the Cincinnati area coaches poll and head to Cleveland for St Joseph Invitational.

The Harrison Ladycats were shut out 8 to 0 by the Wyoming Cowgirls Monday night. Cowgirls struck early with four goals in the first quarter and kept pressure on. Goalies Karen Roell and Angie Rolfes provided 25 and 8 saves respectively while captains Julie Otte and Ann Greenham led the defense. Offense by Mary Ann Jonas Beth Mains and Karen Grimm gave brief threats. Next home game is Wednesday September 14 at 7:00 p.m.
