Interstate Storage Co opens at a 5 percent acre site on U S 52 for business. The new facility on U S 52 marks the companys entry into storage services, offering space solutions to local customers.
Gregory Sales son of Mr and Mrs Donald Sales takes teaching duties at the University of Cincinnati in Educational area. He completed a Master’s degree in Mathematics Education from Miami University in 1979 and earned a PhD in Instructional Design and Education from the University of Minnesota in 1985. A 1970 graduate of William Henry Harrison High School, he previously studied from Sitka and completed education credentials.
Twelve candidates for two school board seats met in the High School cafeteria on Tuesday October 15 to answer questions. All twelve endorsed Issue 35, with Debbie Hess presenting a slide show on four-year schoolbuilding gains and tax stability.
Renowned wildlife artist Charles Frace will appear as guest artist at Prints Gallery of the End Table on Saturday November 2 from 1 00 to 4 00 p m. He will display latest prints Royal Bengal and Quiet Time in Samburu and offer personal inscriptions benefiting wildlife conservation efforts. Frace has operated in Harrison since 1975 hosting works by America s best known artists.
The Franklin County Community School Corporation learned last week that Lloyd Lin Casket Company plans a donation of ten acres and additional land in the area. He plans to retire soon and will probably move to California, with the gift springing from a desire to do something for the community.

The 1st annual Pumpkin Festival at Minges Produce & Greenhouse on New Haven Road drew a rainy crowd. Winners in pumpkin pie, school contests, and coloring and essay entries earned cash, ribbons, and pumpkins, with Opal Alexander’s pie top and multiple classroom prizes awarded.
