Minges Farm to Sponsor Harrison Band Qualifies for State
Minges Farm on New Haven Road hosts the first annual Pumpkin Festival October 19 from 12 to 8 and October 20 from 12 to 6 at 10109 New Haven Road with free parking and family activities. Harrison High School band, directed by Don Stewart, earned second place at Lockland in the state event and won a first place trophy at the prior band competition.

Knights of Columbus Raise Over $2000 for Schools
The Harrison Council of the Knights of Columbus donated over $2,000 to local schools through the Measure Up campaign. Funds were presented to North Dearborn Elementary School and St. John V.C.C. by Daniel Metz DD 54 and were raised by the local K of C during the annual drive for slow learners.

Robberies Probed At Two Mini Markets In Harrison
Police investigate two aggravated robberies at Stop N Go 100 Sunset Ave and another Harrison area mini market within a week. The Stop N Go incident involved a white male, 18 to 20, about 5'11" to 6' tall, weighing around 180 pounds, who showed a pistol and demanded cash before fleeing with an undetermined amount. The second theft occurred early October 14 at 5:22 am with details yet to be clarified.
