Patrolman Russell Grubbs arrested Wilbur Oakley 41 and Darrell Gene Holland 20 both of Richmond at State Street near the old water works. A truck held $100 in maintenance material and a door to the building was pried open. They are charged with Breaking and Entering and held in Hamilton County Jail awaiting Municipal Court action. Sojourners Night Snow Lodge 193 F and AM invites all Sojourning Masons to October 18 meeting at 7:30 p.m. Past Masters Night is set for November 1 with supper at 5:30 and lodge at 7:30.

Park District Sponsors Explorer Post Formation
The Hamilton County Park District will sponsor an Explorer post focusing on park management and operation. The first fall meeting is set for October 16 at 7 PM at the Environmental Education Center Farbach Werner Nature Preserve. Eligible youths 14 to 19 may learn park operations, forestry, outdoor education, and participate in speakers, conservation projects, and field trips. Marine Sergeant William R. Davis, son of David W. 95th Birthday of Mrs Hannah Grubbs in Harrison
Mrs Hannah Grubbs of 512 Harrison Ave marks her 95th birthday on October 23. Born in 1880 to Herman and Mary Haas, she lives on the Grubbs farm and moved to Harrison after Theodore Grubbs died. Her children include Mrs Lillian Loos and Mrs Rose Jacobs, with Eugene Grubbs predeceasing. She has 10 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren and recalls many early days.

North College Hill upset Bamonte's Wildcats 14 to 6 after a late fake punt TD.
