A carbon monoxide incident at Campbell Hausfeld incapacitated 84 workers in Plant No 1 where a cooled unheated building and closed doors limited airflow. Evacuation occurred at 12 20 pm with exhaust fans started while Life Squad units responded. No lasting injuries reported by authorities.
Residents urged to support a new Life Saving Rescue Unit to meet forthcoming government rules effective January 1, 1978. Meetings are scheduled Thursdays at 7 PM in the Bright Volunteer Fire House basement.
