Village Council Hears Legion Request and Sidewalk Redo
At the November 18 1975 village council meeting representatives from American Legion Post 199 and the Legion Auxiliary urged action. The solicitor said Crest must remove about 1600 feet of sidewalk and rebuild it on Lellan Ave at an estimated cost of 8000 dollars with easements possible on private land. Residents complained of crumbling sidewalks and disputed property lines near Burke Lane ditch site while Crest offered to compensate owners.
