William M. Copeland announces a late spring opening for a Breast Imaging Center at St Francis St. George Hospital to diagnose breast disease early using ultrasound and mammography. Tests performed on physician referral include ultrasound, mammography, audiographic mammography, with education on breast health and self examination. The ultrasound uses water as a sound conductor and is radiation free. Mammography aims for minimal radiation and is painless. Studies show 95 percent accuracy when combining ultrasound and X-ray mammography in detection.
