Fifth grade student Becky Cifers from Miamitown Elementary School will represent the Southwest Local School District at the Cincinnati Post Spelling Bee on March 21. Becky, 11, is the daughter of Harvey and (name obscured) Cifers of State Route 128 and received a commemorative trophy from the Miamitown PTA. If Becky cannot attend, sixth grader Nicki Wilhelm, daughter of Anita and Stanley Wilhelm of Miamitown, will be her alternate.
