Bakers Week Treats Senior Citizens at Harrison Home Bakery
Dieter Noller owner of Harrison Home Bakery donated pastries to the Senior Citizen Nutrition Program during National Retail Bakers Week from February 25 to March 3. Each day featured a different treat such as Chocolate Eclairs Napoleons Lady Locks Swiss Mountain Tops and assorted day. Phyllis Myles director of the Senior Citizen Nutrition Program commented as she passed out the treats that all calories had been removed from cakes and doughnuts during the week.

Tony Davis to represent Harrison Junior in spelling bee
Tony Davis, seventh grader at Harrison Junior School, will represent his school in the Cincinnati Post spelling bee. If he cannot attend, Betsy Mick, an eighth grader, will substitute. Davis won after a tie broken by the word ballistics and then spelled another word correctly. Twenty-nine junior high students participated. the Post bee finals are March 21, with state competition following.
